Andrew Combs / Steelism split 7" Vinyl single Out Now

Nashville songwriter Andrew Combs and country-funk instrumental duo Steelism (Jeremy Fetzer, Spencer Cullum Jr.) have teamed up for a split 7" 45 r.p.m. vinyl single on Electric Western/Coin Records, out on Oct. 29.

The songs were recorded at East Nashville's Toy Box Studio, shortly after both acts performed at the 2013 Newport Folk Festival.
Combs' "Emily" was co-written with Nashville songwriter Jabe Beyer and has become a crowd favorite. Steelism's "China Plate" (cockney rhyming slang for "mate") was inspired by Dick Dale's surf-rock and the western synth wizardry of Hugo Montenegro. Cullum's steel guitar was played with a sitar bar for an Eastern feel while Fetzer used three vintage Fender amps. Both songs were produced by Andrew Combs and Steelism and cut to 2" tape through the MCI console that lived in Criteria studio from 1968–’78 (where "Hotel California" was recorded).

Pre-Order Los Colognes "Working Together" out May 28

Pre-order Los Colognes new album WORKING TOGETHER and receive
an immediate download of album track "99 Ways" . . .

With the upbeat first single, "Working Together," Los Colognes set the
stage for summer 2013. The album's breezy, laid back grooves, chiming
acoustic guitars, sunny guitar hooks and lyrics evoke the sounds of Dire
Straits, J.J. Cale, Chess Records and the Grateful Dead.

DIGITAL 45: Los Colognes "Working Together" b/w "Sister's Worried Blues

A certain contender for song of the summer 2013, the upbeat "Working Together"
is the first single from Nashville's LOS COLOGNES. With its breezy, laid back
groove, chiming acoustic guitars, and sunny guitar hook and lyrics, the band's
sound on the single evokes the mid-tempo numbers of J.J. Cale, Dire Straits
and the Grateful Dead. Good luck taking this one off of "repeat."
"Sister's Worried Blues" available exclusively when clicking "Listen And
Buy" below. Not available on iTunes.
